Subaru Justy 5 Door Manual (Group - C)

Subaru may be more associated with high performance saloons and rally cars, but it also has a heritage in making small cars. It's actually based on the 2006 Toyota Yaris so has a proven track record for reliability, plus it's roomy inside with a good-sized boot and impressive rear passenger space. The likeable Justy is in its element in town thanks to light steering and good visibility, but it also holds its own at motorway speeds where it's stable and comfortable. It's not out of its depth on the motorway and will happily keep up with fast flowing traffic in fifth gear with a surprising turn of pace for such a small engine. It’s responsive enough and thanks to impressive levels of grip, the Justy corners very well with minimal body roll, making it enjoyable to drive. It may have quite diminutive dimensions but the Justy is big on the inside with plenty of space for five adults to travel in comfort. In the back there's good head room and lots of legroom. There's also adequate knee room, even when the front seats are slid all the way back - that's an impressive feat for a car that's little more than 3.5 metres long. Getting in and out is simple thanks to high-placed seats and wide-door openings but while the seats themselves are comfortable. The boot is a good size with 225 litres of luggage space. If you need extra room for larger items, the rear seats split and fold down almost flat, helped by the fact the seat bases cleverly flip forward. There's plenty of storage in the cabin too including a flip-down compartment in the centre console, a twin level glove box and clever cup holders built into the doors. Although the interior isn't especially luxurious it's neatly laid out, easy to use and very well built. Great looks, comfort, vision, economy, low emissions and of course the legendary Subaru reputation are everything that a rental car in Paphos, Cyprus must be equipped with.
